Francis Coquelin has admitted that the players would like Arsene Wenger to stay at Arsenal and that we’ll find out his decision in a few days.

While many believe that the players already know whether Wenger will be at Arsenal next season or not, Coquelin didn’t seem to have a clue after the Gunners’ 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Chelsea.

The midfielder, who came on in the 82nd minute against the champions, said post-match that everyone would find out about Le Professeur’s future in the next few days.

“I think it’s a pleasure for everyone to offer this trophy to the coach,” he said.

“We will know in the next few days what he will do. Regardless of his decision, I think it was important for him to win this FA Cup. We are all proud to have done it.

“We hope he will stay, but it’s not our decision, he is the only one who can take it. We’ll see in the next few days. But we are happy to have won.”

What Coquelin says backs up what Wenger revealed himself.

There will be a board meeting on Tuesday when his future will be decided and an announcement will probably be made on Wednesday or Thursday.

By the end of the week, Arsenal’s future should be a little bit clearer.
