Bayern Munich fans have been reacting to the report from German outlet SportBild that Alexis Sanchez has entered talks over a move to the Bundesliga club.

  • Alexis has one year left on current deal
  • Bayern watched him at FA Cup semi-final
  • Bundesliga giants said to have made contact with his agent
  • Chilean shares agent with Bayern’s Arturo Vidal

Bayern have reportedly made Alexis their number one priority this summer.

They were apparently in attendance during Arsenal’s FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City at Wembley, and have even, apparently made contact with his agent, Fernando Felicevich, which wouldn’t have been difficult since he has the same agent as Bayern’s Arturo Vidal. His Chile teammate.

Alexis has just one year left on his current Arsenal deal and while talks over an extension are set to resume over the summer, most fans aren’t holding out much hope that he’ll stay.

While Arsene Wenger claims he would rather let the Chilean run his contract down at Arsenal than sell him to a rival now, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he won’t sell to a club from another country.

Although most Bayern fans don’t seem to believe the reports just yet, and even find the idea of them once again buying a player from a team they’ve crushed that season pretty funny, most are open to the idea.

“It just makes so much sense,” one Bayern fan said.

“He is exactly what we need, we have his Chilean teammate, he has reason to leave, and they have reason to let him leave if he’s not going to sign a new contract.”

While another said, “Usually do not agree with the ‘where there is smoke there is fire’ given soccer’s typical rumor s**tstorms but I actually think this will happen.”

Many think that, if Alexis does leave, this is the end for even the most loyal of Wenger supporters.

“If Arsene lets another Van Persie incident happen again then I genuinely think even the fans who still have his back WILL turn on him. I don’t think he’ll be willing to take the risk,” one fan said.
