According to reports from Spain, Barcelona are offering Ivan Rakitić, Arda Turan or Andre Gomes for Hector Bellerin in a bid to get Arsenal to sell him.

Don Balon claim that in order to bring Bellerin to the Camp Nou, Barcelona are prepared to offer Arsenal their pick of one of the above players as a potential swap.

With Sergi Roberto failing to impress the Catalan decision makers, Hector Bellerin is their first option to fill in the void left after Dani Alves went to Juventus.

Bellerin’s pace and ever improving performances in Premier League have convinced Barcelona that he’s the right player for their team, and with his technical abilities he’d probably fit in comfortably.

Ivan Rakitić is one of the main performers in the current Barca squad but is often considered to have less than enough quality, and he would probably be the best option for Arsenal to pick – if anything about this story was true.

Comfortable on the ball, great at passing and setting up chances while remaining dedicated to the defensive work required, his abilities would suit Arsenal’s style of play.

Arda Turan never quite broke through to first team at Camp Nou and is reportedly very frustrated by the lack of opportunities and faith in him from Luis Enrique. His dribbling ability and pace we’ve all witnessed in Atletico Madrid could fit at Gunner’s right flank and offer another option in attack. His agent, however, has said he will not be moving anywhere, but this has not stopped the rumour machine.

Andre Gomes is the youngest of players ‘offered’. So far he’s made 40 appearances this season for Barcelona in all competitions and is possibly the ‘worst’ option of the three. Although his age gives him enough time to develop, there wouldn’t be any immediate benefits from his arrival.

With Bellerin recently extending his contract, it’s highly unlikely that the player will leave unless the Catalan’s offer is simply too good to be turned down.
