Another day. More speculation about Hector Bellerín’s future.

Arsenal are keen for the talented 22-year-old to ignore Barcelona’s advances, but a Spanish report has claimed the La Liga giants won’t let up in their pursuit to bring Bellerín back to the Camp Nou.

It’s becoming increasingly evident Arsenal have no interest in selling any of their key players – especially Bellerín, who despite a disappointing season by his high standards, has developed significantly having been given his senior debut only three years ago.

City made an official bid of €40m (£34m) last summer, which was rejected. It’s unlikely City and Barcelona will make an offer which surpasses that valuation this summer but neither side will give up given their need for an attacking right-back.

Barcelona are frontrunners to sign their former youth player with City heavily linked with Tottenham’s Kyle Walker, prompting suggestions they will try to unsettle Bellerin and hope the Spaniard is seduced by the Catalans.

Some reports have suggested Arsenal would consider a swap deal with Barcelona if Bellerin made it clear he wants to leave the Emirates Stadium, but the player’s rerpresentative has poured cold water on any exit talk.

Bellerin’s agent denied claims he spoke about his future in the media last week, which suggests the whole thing may be speculation. But there is no smoke without fire. Bellerín has already been house-hunting in Spain according to Diario Gol, and Barcelona are reportedly preparing an announcement of his arrival along with a new extension for Lionel Messi.

With so many reports about the full-back’s future, who knows what will happen next?
