Athletic Bilbao are reportedly set to attempt to sign Nacho Monreal again this summer.

Monreal has been linked with Bilbao since 2014 but with Sead Kolasinac’s transfer to Arsenal allegedly almost complete, the wing-back could actually be heading back to Spain this summer.

According to Spanish outlet, Marca, the 31-year-old will look to leave if Arsene Wenger doesn’t sign a new deal with Arsenal, since the Frenchman has consistently had his back and given him regular playing time over the last couple of seasons, despite not being up to his usual standard this year.

Saying this, the Spaniard seems to have found his form again over recent weeks and he still has two years left on his current Arsenal deal.
