Reports from Spain are claiming that Arsenal are looking to replace Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez with Real Madrid’s Danilo and Karim Benzema.

  • Benzema seen as potential Alexis or Olivier Giroud replacement
  • Wenger only willing to spend £17.2m on right-back Danilo
  • Spanish press convinced Bellerin going to Barcelona

According to Don Balon [via Daily Star], with Bellerin allegedly off to Barcelona and Alexis heading just about anywhere that isn’t Arsenal, the Gunners are hoping to bring in the La Liga duo over the summer.

The Spanish press seem convinced that Bellerin is still joining Barca, despite the right-back only signing a new contract with Arsenal in November, and since Real apparently want to get rid of Danilo, it appears to be a match made in heaven…

Real bought Danilo from Porto for £27.1m (€31.5m) in 2015. However, the 25-year-old has struggled to settle in and has only made 16 La Liga appearances this season.

Arsene Wenger is therefore only apparently willing to spend £17.2m (€20m) on the Brazil international.

Benzema, however, will always be linked with Arsenal, no matter who leaves.
