Arsenal have announced the signing of 20-year-old Dutch forward, Vivianne Miedema, from Bayern Munich.

Miedema played for Bayern Munich for three years, signing for them in 2014 from SC Heerenveen.

In those three years, she scored 21 goals in 39 games.

A senior Dutch international, she has 34 goals in 42 games for her country. She wears the number 10 for her country and is compared to Arjen Robben despite growing up as a Feyenoord supporter and modelling her game on Robin van Twatface.

She arrives at Arsenal with two Bundesliga titles to her name as well as the UEFA Women’s u19 Championship title from 2014. She was both top scorer and ‘Golden Player’ at that tournament.

Manager, Pedro Martinez Losa said: “Vivianne is a huge signing for this club and is seen as one of the best young strikers in the world. Attracting this level of talent to the club reflects our ambition and we are very excited to have Vivianne on board with us from the start of the 2017/18 season.”
