Despite fears that Alexis Sánchez wouldn’t be fit to feature in today’s FA Cup Final, Arsenal have been handed a major boost after he was pictured during their training session yesterday along with team-mates.

The 28-year-old, who limped off during Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Everton last weekend, sustained a tight hamstring and many supporters were left fearing the worst.

Thankfully though, the talented Chilean is fit and available to start against Premier League champions Chelsea in the final domestic club fixture of the 2016/17 campaign.

It was his strike in extra-time which helped eliminate Manchester City at the semi-final stage this time last month, whilst he came off the substitutes’ bench and managed to create two assists during a 5-0 fourth-round thrashing over Southampton in late January.

Although Wenger refused to confirm or deny whether he’d stick with a 3-4-2-1 formation, it’s now likely that Alexis will play alongside Mesut Özil as part of the creative duo operating behind a lone striker.

Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud will both be hoping to start in attack at Wembley and given Alexis’s influence in helping the Gunners get to today’s final, his presence will provide a much-needed morale boost within the squad as they prepare to battle for a possible piece of silverware to finish a frustrating season in positive fashion.
