Arsenal’s horrific form against the sides above them in the table compared to below has been laid bare.
- Gunners are currently 6th in league
- Finishing below Spurs for 1st time since 1995
- Set to miss out on Champions League football next season
This season, Arsenal have only managed to earn six points from playing teams above them in the Premier League table.
They’ve only won once, oddly enough, against Chelsea (3-0) at the beginning of the season.
Other than this, they’ve only picked up three points from three draws against Manchester United (A), Spurs (H) and Manchester City (H).
Arsenal are also yet to take any points off of Everton this season, who are a place below them.
South of eighth and the Gunners are all gravy. They’ve taken at least three points from the mediocre-to-terrible teams.
Meanwhile, you look at Liverpool, and they’re having completely the opposition problem. Their record against the top teams is great. However, they have trouble beating teams who are actually supposed to be worse than them.
