It will probably surprise absolutely nobody to find out that Alexis Sanchez has been named Arsenal’s player of the season.

  • Alexis created 102 chances for Arsenal this season
  • Scored third most goals in league, rated second best behind Chelsea star
  • Fans vote Chilean as best Arsenal player of the season

Alexis Sanchez has more or less consistently been Arsenal best player this season.

Although Mesut Ozil is arguably more important to the squad, as an individual, Alexis is the main man, which is why the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City are all sniffing around him ahead of this summer.

Even when he doesn’t appear to be switched on, he can still muster a goal or an assist out of nothing.

The Chilean has scored 29 goals over all competitions this season and assisted 19.

He’s scored the third most Premier League goals (24) behind Romelu Lukaku (25) and Harry Kane (29).

The 28-year-old is the second highest rated Premiership player on Squawka behind Eden Hazard.

Alexis only spent five days out through injury this season and only missed four games: one in the FA Cup against Preston and three in the EFL Cup when he was rested.

He truly is a remarkable player and deserves the award.
