Alexis Sanchez has been labelled as the ‘hottest candidate’ for a big summer move to Bayern Munich.

  • Alexis looks unlikely to stay at Arsenal without Champions League football
  • Arsenal unwilling to sell to Chelsea or Manchester City
  • Bayern willing to pay ‘just under’ €60m this summer
  • Chilean shares agent with Bayern’s Arturo Vidal

Over the past week, reports linking Alexis with a move to Bayern Munich have been gaining momentum in the German press, with Bild [via Sport Witness] labelling him as the ‘hottest candidate’ for a big summer move.

With just one year left on his existing deal and Arsenal unwilling to hand their best player over to another Premier League club, it’s looking more and more likely that the Chilean could be sold into another league this summer.

While PSG and Juventus have also been linked with the 28-year-old, he shares an agent with fellow Chile international and Bayern star, Arturo Vidal. Therefore, there’s already a relationship there.

Bayern are said to be willing to pay ‘just under’ €60m for the forward, who’s scored 19 Premier League goals this season, and contact is already believed to have been made about a move.

However, SportBild claim it’s worth noting that when Vidal was at Juventus, his (and Alexis’) agent, Fernando Felicevich, was accused of using Bayern in order to get his client a better deal in Italy.

Although the deal obviously went ahead in the end, it’s speculated that the initial purpose of the proposed move was to get more money out of Juve.

The outlet think this could be happening again with Alexis.
