With the season slowly coming to the end, Arsenal are planing to hire director of football to help in the running of the club according to recent reports.

One of the names in the hat to take up the new role at the club is Alexander Rosen, current director of football in Hoffeinheim.

Rosen has impressed in recent years in the Bundesliga and has played a significant role in appointing head coach Julian Nagelsmann. With Naglesman at helm, Hoffeinheim are set to participate in the Champions league next season.

38-year-old Alexander Rosen is seen as a perfect candidate to help Arsenal rebuild, and take them to next level as the Gunners appear to be losing pace with leading Premier league clubs.

Reports suggest that Arsene Wenger isn’t delighted with the possibility of Rosen joining and is actively working on stopping the move.

With Arsenal struggling with squad management and extending contracts of their main stars, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, there is obvious need for a highly qualified staff member to resolve the matter.

Other candidates mentioned in press for director of football role are former Ajax and Arsenal winger Marc Overmars and Michael Zorc from Borussia Dortmund.
