Arsenal Fan TV’s Robbie fears fans could revolt if Arsenal start poorly next season.

Speaking to BBC 5 Live, Robbie Lyle said it would be interesting to see how fans would react if and when the club suffers consecutive defeats next season.

A run of poor results in the second half of last season prompted protests against Arsene Wenger and chants of “You’re not fit to wear the shirt” at the players.

The Emirates crowd is unlikely to tolerate similar failings again and will make their feelings known, be it during the game or after on Arsenal Fan TV.

Lyle went on to say that Arsenal must make a statement of intent that they want to win the Premier League next season. A big signing or two could go some way towards keeping the fans onside, even during more troubled times.

Pressed on who he would want Wenger to sign, Lyle mentioned Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the sort of player Arsenal should be targeting, as well as keeping Alexis and Ozil at the club.
