Wenger’s smirk, happy Alexis, Manchester City & more: Arsenal’s week in videos

After beating Middlesbrough on Monday, Arsene Wenger and the team have been looking ahead to playing Manchester City at the weekend.

Arsenal managed to win a game of football on Monday night.

The Gunners traveled to the Riverside Stadium, debuting a new-look three-man defence for the first time under Arsene Wenger.

Despite not being overly convincing, Arsenal got the job done and beat struggling Middlesbrough 2-1 with goals from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Post-match, Wenger joked that his switch in tactics proves that even at his age, you can change.

Alexis Sanchez looked in danger of appearing happy.

On Thursday, Wenger gave the latest team news ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City on Sunday. He confirmed that Shkodran Mustafi (thigh) is out, as is David Ospina (back), and Danny Welbeck (toe) is a doubt despite being back in training.

The boss also revealed how sad he is following news of Jack Wilshere’s latest injury, a hairline fracture on his left fibula, which has sidelined him for the rest of the season.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide’s season is also over with an ankle injury.

Wenger was asked about his pursuit of Schalke left-back, Sead Kolasinac.

The manager said he could deny at the moment and followed his answer up with his trademark smirk.

Over on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel, Olivier Giroud and Nacho Monreal took part in a quick fire question round in which Giroud showed off some disturbing dance moves and revealed that Santi Cazorla is the best player he’s starred with.

Lucas Perez picked his ultimate XI. Unsurprisingly, he didn’t choose any Arsenal players and his team was predominantly Spanish.

With Arsenal set to face City in the FA Cup at the weekend, the Gunners’ YouTube channel looked at the team’s five best FA Cup semi-final goals.

Finally, Mesut Ozil decided to take himself on a little tour of London and shared the experience on his social media.

Naturally, the Daily Mail somehow still managed to make it about him leaving Arsenal.
