Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Fenerbahce over the sale of David Ospina, just as the keeper mysteriously gets ruled out through injury.

  • S*n report a £6m fee has been agreed and £40kpw wages
  • Their information comes from Fanatik
  • Ospina is expected to leave this summer

Arsenal recalled Matt Macey from his loan at Luton, hinting that they are not confident that either Petr Cech or Ospina will be available any time soon.

It is certainly a curious situation.

At his press conference on Tuesday morning, Arsene Wenger said that Petr Cech could be back for Monday’s game against Palace. If he is only a game or two away, why cancel a loan which was proving so beneficial for Macey?

There was also no mention of an injury for Ospina at the presser yesterday yet the injury, we are led to believe, is one that was picked up against Manchester City.

I can’t think of any reason an offer being accepted for Ospina (if it has) would impact his ability to play for the club while Cech continues to recover from his calf problem.

Still, the whole thing is slightly strange.
