Mark Clattenburg looks set to referee his final Premier League game at the end of April, which happens to coincide with the North London Derby at White Hart Lane.

  • Clattenburg became a Premiership referee in 2004
  • Clatts has been in charge of 221 games
  • Clatts has given out 940 yellow cards, 23 reds and 79 penalties in total

Despite referring the Champions League final last season and matches at Euro 2016, Clatts has now been snubbed six times in a row in the league. The last Premiership game he refereed was all the way back on 25 February between West Brom and Bournemouth.

According to Sportmail, the 42-year-old is set to referee his last game at the end of the month, since he’s off to Saudi Arabia at the end of the season and referees’ chief, Mike Riley, is said to be preparing for life after Clatts.

There are a couple of interesting fixtures which take place during the final weekend of April. For example, on Sunday 30 April, there’s Everton v Chelsea, as well as Spurs v Arsenal.

Clatts has refereed 40 Arsenal games during his career in the Premier League. During those, Arsenal have won 25, drawn five and lost 10; he’s given out 60 yellow cards, two reds and 11 penalties.
