David Ospina will look to leave Arsenal this summer in search of regular first team football.

  • Ospina cost Arsenal £3.4m from Nice in 2014
  • He still has another 2 years on his contract
  • He’s called ‘Calamity Dave’ by some Arsenal fans

The Colombian keeper wanted to leave Arsenal last summer but was tempted into staying with the club with the promise of Champions League and FA Cup football.

This is no longer enough for him and he will try to leave in the summer. If Arsenal are serious about a summer overhaul, they will happily hold the door open for him.

With Petr Cech also in decline, a new keeper should be a top priority for next season. And, by ‘new’ I of course mean our former number one, Wojciech Szczesny.

He recently denied the claims made by the President of the Polish FA which said he would not return to Arsenal if Arsene Wenger was still there.
