Bayern Munich reportedly scouted Alexis Sanchez during Arsenal’s FA Cup semi-final match against Manchester City.

The Germans are planing on joining the list of teams who are detailed in the press as potential destinations for the Chilean star.

Michael Reschke, technical director for Bayern, was seen at Wembley Stadium and the Mirror’s Alex Richards reports that Sanchez is their top priority target for this summer.

The Bundesliga side has struggled in this years Champions League and are looking to freshen up their squad with some new blood. The likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben do have the quality and still look strong but their age is beginning to catch up on them.

Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman without doubt have talent, but are not top quality players, and Sanchez presents himself as the perfect addition.

Sanchez has undisputed quality and is a top professional who could, without a doubt, adapt to Ancelotti’s ideas. At 28-years-of-age, he has the perfect combination of strength and experience.

As the Chilean is yet to sign a new contract with Arsenal, the amount of speculation around him is really starting to gather pace. Arsenal have reportedly offered him £300,000 per week, but the most obvious reason for Sanchez not agreeing to the terms is the unresolved status of Arsene Wenger’s future at the club.

In the meantime, Bayern Munich’s legend, Lothar Matthaus has been talking up his club, encouraging them to go for Sanchez as he believes Alexis has all the ability to improve Bayern’s squad. While speaking to AZ, 56-year-old said:“Sanchez is a great player, he would be a good signing for Bayern.

“His biggest pro is that he can play in a central role up front and on the wings.”
