Over the weekend, Arsenal officially reopened their Academy facility at Hale End and to celebrate, the Liam Brady Cup was contested.

Teams from Bayern, Manchester United and Juventus were all involved in matches of 20-minute halves.

Striker Tyreece John-Jules and defender Bukayo Saka were two of the side’s standout performers and despite a 3-0 defeat against Juventus, wins over the United and Bayern ensured passage into the final.

A rematch against Juve’s u16 side proved a perfect chance for revenge and Xavier Amaechi’s well-taken finish after a great passing move saw the Young Guns earn victory.
