Spurs are reportedly set to beat Arsenal to Sampdoria forward, Patrik Schick.

  • Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Spurs and Manchester City all interested
  • Spurs have edge to sign striker with €25m release clause
  • Schick’s scored 12 goals in 30 appearances this season
  • Sampdoria keen to tie striker down to new deal with €40m release clause

Schick, who scored during Sampdoria’s 2-1 loss to Crotone on Sunday, is a striker in demand.

What’s more is that he’s an affordable striker in demand, with his release clause said to be €25m – around £21m.

Arsenal have been linked since Olivier Giroud’s future at the club appears uncertain, despite the France international only just signing a new deal, and have even reportedly already held talks with Schick’s people. However, this has been denied.

However, Spurs have been consistently rumoured to be after the Czech international and apparently have the edge. In fact, according to the S*n, the 21-year-old also held talks with Arsenal’s north London rivals while he was in the city recently.

With Schick’s current deal with Sampdoria running out in 2020 and interest mounting following his 12 goals in 30 appearances this season, the Serie A club are allegedly looking to tie him down to another contract, which will have a €40m release clause.

Chelsea and both Manchester clubs have also been linked.
