Arsenal welcomed back Lucas Perez to training while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain threw down his crutches and joined in too.

The Spaniard has been out since mid-March with a thigh problem and while he’s back in training it’s unlikely we will see him involved in any fashion against Leicester.

The Ox, meanwhile, defied centuries of Arsenal medical tradition by being on crutches on Sunday but back in training by Tuesday.

At his press conference on Tuesday morning, Arsene Wenger said that the move to put him on crutches was just precautionary after the Ox was kicked against City.

Due to undertake a fitness test, it seems he has been cleared. Arsenal have options and if they have any sense, they will let the Ox sit this one out and heal properly.

In other related news, Lucas’s agent has denied that he or the player have been in talks with his former club about a return home at the end of the season. That being said, his agent also left the door open for a summer departure.

The Ox, meanwhile, seemed to confirm that he will be an Arsenal player next season.
