Arsene Wenger made no attempt to cover up the task that lies ahead for Arsenal as they try to secure Champions League football after losing yet again this weekend.

Speaking to the media immediately after the game, Wenger, who was deflated, was asked about recent results and how worrying they are. “It’s very worrying because we are not used of that and overall I think we have a hell of a task now to fight back,” Wenger replied.

“We need to regroup and focus on the games coming up because we have many big games.

“We focus on analysing well where we are not good at the moment and correct what didn’t work today.”

Of course, no regrouping can happen because a large section of the squad is about to jet around the world for some stupid international matches.

The first game when they return from globetrotting? Manchester City.

Fun times.
