Arsene Wenger has spoken exclusively to beIN SPORTS regarding his, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s futures at Arsenal.

Predictably, the boss didn’t have much news. However, he did claim that contract talks with Alexis and Ozil – whose current deals take them up to 2018 – will resume in the summer once the season is over.

“Once you don’t find an agreement,” he said, “it’s better you sit down in the summer.”

In regard to his own future, Wenger reiterated that no matter how long he’s staying at the club, he always has its best interests at heart.

“My news is that I have no news for you,” the Frenchman said. “No matter how long I stay I will be committed and completely focused. How long I stay does not matter because as long as I’m there I’m completely focused to achieve the best with the club.

“We are going through a difficult period with results, and so I think it’s much more important to focus on getting it right again [rather than my future].

“We suffer a lot but when you take a little bit distance and put things into perspective, we are two games in hand [in the league], we are in the semi-final of a cup. Our season will be decided by how well we respond to the difficult season we have had.”

Since the West Brom game and Wenger’s subsequent admission that he had made a decision over where he’ll be next season, an increasing amount of reports are claiming that although a two-season deal has and always has been on the table, he’s likely to accept a one-year rolling deal.

What’s more is after Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Tony Pulis’ side on Saturday, the Baggies’ manager gave the biggest indicate yet that Wenger will be Arsenal manager next season, saying, “I’ll be surprised if he goes… Because he told me!”
