Alexis Sanchez has been Arsenal’s best player this season.

The Chilean not only returned from winning his second Copa America in a row after being crowned Player of the Tournament, but instantly hit the ground running, scoring his first goal of the season during Arsenal’s third game against Watford. He also got two assists during the 3-1 win.

Since then, the 28-year-old hasn’t let contract talks and media hype get to him and he’s gone on to score 17 Premier League goals; 20 in all competitions. He’s also managed 16 assists.

In the Premiership, only Spurs’ Harry Kane and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku are level with him and this is after the forward’s been on a run of quiet matches. There’s no telling what goal tally Alexis could reach if he had been on top form for the last month or so.

Hopefully, after a little break, he can hit the ground running against Liverpool.

Here are his 2016/17 goals.
