During Arsene Wenger’s pre-Liverpool presser on Thursday morning, the boss was once again grilled about his future at Arsenal.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this season, you’ll know that Wenger’s Arsenal contract runs out in the summer and the boss is yet to publicly announce whether he’ll stay or go.

One of the clubs he’s been linked with a move to is Barcelona, with Luis Enrique leaving the Catalan giants in June.

Wenger was characteristically tight-lipped during his presser, claiming that his preference has always been the same – Arsenal – and that he’s not after anyone’s job.

“My preference has always been the same,” he said.

“I’m not looking for jobs in other clubs. I just focus on me getting to the next level and improving.”

Arsenal have always been open to Wenger staying and a new contract is there to sign if he wants to. It’s up to the Frenchman whether he wants to stay or go. Although he’s set to announce his decision in March or April.

Finally, then, we can start planning for the future, with or without Arsene.
