Ozil passed fit to play for Germany

Mesut Ozil has been passed fit to play for Germany in their game against Azerbaijan on Sunday.

The German missed Lukas Podolski’s farewell match with a minor hamstring problem – the same injury that ruled him out of Arsenal’s defeat at the Hawthornes – although he was present on the sidelines for Poldi’s big night.

Germany are currently top of their group with 12 points from four games.

Azerbaijan are third, behind Northern Ireland, with seven points. Czech Republic, Norway and San Marino make up the rest of Grouup C.
