Arsenal travel to West Brom this weekend under a load of pressure and Michael Owen thinks it will be too much for the Gunners to bear using some seriously dodgy logic.

With a win over lowly Lincoln City convincing nobody that they are back to their best, Arsenal have won only two of their last five Premier League games, losing three.

West Brom, however, have fared only marginally better with two wins, three defeats and one draw. They’ve lost their last two.

“Tony Pulis has lost only one of his last six Premier League home games with Arsenal and I expect to see his side bounce back after a couple of disappointing performances in recent weeks,” Own said on BetVictor.

“The Gunners have lost three of their last four Premier League games and cannot afford any more slip-ups – such is there recent form I expect to see the Baggies get something from the game.” He then goes on to advise betting on a West Brom win or a draw.

Owen’s logic seems to be that because West Brom have had disappointing performances recently they will bounce back and because Arsenal have also had disappointing performances, they will struggle.

Excellent logic, there, Michael. Still, at least you managed to forgo any mixed metaphors and for that we are all eternally grateful.
