It was a frustrating case of deja-vu for Arsenal’s players out on loan.

Many either made cameo appearances or didn’t feature at all across the Sunday and midweek fixtures.

ENGLAND

Krystian Bielik was an unused substitute as Birmingham City lost 1-0 at the hands of Wigan on Tuesday evening. The versatile youngster will be undoubtedly wondering what he needs to do in order to get into the starting eleven.

Brighton were 2-0 winners over Rotherham yesterday, but did so without the services of Chuba Akpom. It has been kept relatively quiet, but reports indicate the youngster sustained a knee injury. The 21-year-old signed a loan deal in January but hasn’t featured since February 25, an eight minute cameo against Reading.

NETHERLANDS

Tafari Moore (injury) didn’t feature for Utrecht II during their goalless draw at home against VVV-Venlo on Monday. Midfielder Gedion Zelalem was introduced for the visitors with just under 15 minutes to play.

SPAIN

Julio Pleguezuelo played no part during Mallorca’s 1-1 draw with UCAM Murcia. The 20-year-old has only started one league game in 2017 and was not included altogether once again.

PORTUGAL

Joel Campbell made his return from injury with a second-half cameo appearance. Sporting were held to a 1-1 draw with Vitoria and the Costa Rican winger didn’t have a significant influence on the game itself.

GERMANY

Takuma Asano was another of Arsenal’s loaned out players who featured in a cameo – this time on Monday evening. Stuttgart drew 1-1 against Eintracht Braunschweig and the Japanese international didn’t make much of a game-changing difference.

His WhoScored rating of 6.31 highlights a lack of impact on the match, although the same could be said for many of his team-mates too.
