Leipzig sporting director, Ralph Rangnick, has revealed that reported Arsenal target, Naby Keita, has no release clause but is likely to stay with his current club next season.

Keita, 22, has featured 22 times in the Bundesliga so far this season, netting four goals and assisting eight. However, despite the midfielder being under contract with the German club until 2020, Rangnick claims he doesn’t have a release clause.

“He has no release-clause in his contract,” Rangnick told Sport 1 [via TalkSPORT].

“No one knows whether he will play with us for another three or four years – but he is very likely to play with us next season.

“I know nothing about interest from Bayern. Naby is an extraordinary player who could play in any top European league.”

With Jack Wilshere, who’s currently out on loan at Bournemouth, out of contract in 2018, links between Arsenal and Keita are growing stronger with the Gunners potentially needing to replace their England international.

Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested in the Guinea international, who signed from Salzburg in 2016 after developing with Horoya in France and spending a year with FC Istres. However, with newly promoted Leipzig currently sitting in second place behind Bayern Munich in the German League, even more clubs are bound to be linked soon.
