According to this month’s edition of Sport10, Olivier Giroud is planning a move to either China or the MLS in the next one or two seasons.

The French publication claims that Ligue 1 club Marseille never approached Arsenal over the striker, contrary to what was reported, and instead the 30-year-old wants to stay in north London for a year or two.

Giroud only signed a new contract with Arsenal, which takes him to 2020. Therefore, an immediate move seems unlikely. However, with the France international reaching the latter stages of his career, a big money move in the not-too-distant future could be on the cards.

The big guy’s found it hard to get game time this season, despite scoring 12 goals and nabbing six assists across all competitions, many of which have been massive for the team. However, if he continues to struggle for minutes, it’s likely that he’ll be moving sooner rather than later, new contract or not.
