Emmanuel Frimpong will make his debut for AFC Eskilstuna when they welcome Hammarby to Tunavallen today.

The former Arsenal nutter signed for the Swedish side last month, moving from Arsenal Tula on a free transfer after his contract was terminated. While with the Russian club he wore the word ‘DENCH’ on the back of his shirt rather than his name.

He played just 185 minutes for Tula this season. Of the 12 games he was not play in, he was excluded from the squad completely six times. He played a total of 95 minutes in the league for them.

Now with a new club, he looks set to play the first half of their game on Saturday afternoon.

“45 minutes, we hope that he will be ready,” coach, Pelle Olsson, said. He comes to a new club and a new country and has only had time to do three training sessions.”

The Allsenskan gets back underway at the start of April. This game is a training match as part of pre-season.

AFC’s starting eleven against Hammarby: Tim Erlandsson – Daniel Björnquist, Ludvig Öhman, Mauricio Albornoz, Jernade Meade – Thomas Piermayr, Emmanuel Frimpong, Anel Rashkaj, Omar Eddahri – Chidi Omeje, Mohamed Turay Buya.

The game kicks off at 3pm (UK).
