Chris Coleman is delighted to have Aaron Ramsey back with the Wales squad ahead of their game during this international break.

“In these first four games we’ve only had Aaron in one of them,” Coleman said.

That’s tough for us, and we’ve only had Joe Allen for two and a bit as well.

“We’re looking forward to having Rambo back. He’s had game time at Arsenal and he’s feeling good.”

It makes a change to hear Coleman say something without having a dig at Arsenal. He has previously criticised Arsenal for Ramsey’s injuries despite him using Ramsey in games that were dead rubbers in the middle of a busy domestic season.

Ramsey has missed a total of 23 games this season because of three injuries (hamstring, hamstring, calf). Hamstring injuries alone have caused Rambo to miss 32 games over the past two-and-a-half seasons. When you factor in thigh injuries, upper leg problems have kept him out of 64 Arsenal games.

Wales will play the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Friday night in their Group D World Cup qualifying game.
