Calum Chambers will not play for Middlesbrough this weekend against Stoke as he continues to recover from a foot injury.

The defender picked up a stress fracture recently and although he was playing one week later, he now seems to be paying for that decision. I say ‘seems’ because Middlesbrough have given little information about the injury.

Rumoured to have been spotted in an airboot, Chambers was never likely to play this weekend. However, it’s not clear how long he will be sidelined for.

The injury is a blow for the centreback who has looked impressive with regular minutes this season.

Chambers is the only injury concern that Boro have ahead of this weekend’s game as their other two injured players, Antonio Barragan and George Friend, have both returned to training. #ArsenalDNA.
