Krystian Bielik could start against Leeds when they play Birmingham live on Sky Sports on Friday night after manager, Gianfranco Zola, admitted the Arsenal youngster has given him a bit of a dilemma.

“Krystian did very well, but so did Paul while he was on the pitch,” said Zola.

“I will decide depending on who is the best for the game tomorrow, not because I have to play one or the other for other reasons.”

Bielik has impressed in the limited time he’s had on the pitch. He was hailed after his last performance and the player himself is absolutely loving life in the Championship – so much so that he wants to stay there next year if he’s not going to get a chance in the Arsenal first team. He’s also said that he’s ‘ready’ to face Leeds should he be called upon.

“A lot of people may have been surprised how good he was, but not me or my coaches,” Zola continued.

“From the very first day we saw his personality and ability and the way he’s so calm with the ball.

“So far he’s played the whole game against Preston and the 35 minutes the other day [against Wolves].

“But even against Preston after the first 20 minutes he was very good and got better and better so I know I can rely on him.

“And amongst the other players he’s getting a lot of respect.

“Whether he is going to play tomorrow or in the next few games we will wait and see.”

Brimingham City v Leeds United kicks-off at 7.45pm live on Sky Sports.
