Barcelona reportedly believe that if Arsene Wenger leaves Arsenal at the end of the season, Hector Bellerin will want to move.

After signing a new contract in November, Bellerin made it clear how this was because of Wenger and about repaying his loyalty. The rightback has massive respect for the man who gave him a chance in the Premier League and, according to Spanish outlet Sport, his future at Arsenal relies on Wenger being there.

Sport also claims that Barcelona doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers by going up against the likes of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City for the Spaniard and wants to go the right way about signing Bellerin, who they now estimate will cost €40m.

The Catalan club also allegedly realises the tough financial situation they’re still in and therefore want to spend as little as possible, with the Sport suggesting that if Wenger leaves, Bellerin could even help with negotiations himself as he’d want to leave.

Wenger has since dismissed the reports, saying, “We just extended contract.

“He has an unbelievable number of years to go. It’s very difficult to take these things seriously.”
