Arsenal and Spurs were reportedly set to hold talks with Patrik Schick’s representatives today (Wednesday) but the Sampdoria striker’s agent has dismissed the rumours.

According to Gianluca di Marzio and the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old’s agent, Pavel Paska, was set to jet into London for talks over a potential move to Spurs or Arsenal. Both Arsene Wenger and Tottenham chief scout, Steve Hitchen, were said to be in attending this meeting. However, this has since been denied by Paska himself.

“It’s absolute nonsense,” agent Pavel Paska told isport.blesk.cz.

“Schick remains a Sampdoria player.”

The Czech international has scored seven Serie A goals this season in 23 appearances and is contracted with Sampdoria, who are who are ninth in the Italian League, until 2020.

Schnick allegedly has a release clause of €25m (£21.7m), with Spurs apparently only willing to offer €20m.
