Arsenal are apparently readying an offer for Malaga’s 21-year-old midfielder, Pablo Fornals according to a report I first found in Italy of all places.

This is, of course, not the first time Arsenal have been linked with Fornals. They’ve been scouting him for a while now.

Five goals and two assists from 22 La Liga appearances this season is a good return for a central midfielder still finding his way at the top level.

Fornals is under contract until 2019 but is said to have a release clause somewhere between €10m and €12m, a price Arsenal would be more than comfortable paying.

Santi Cazorla has one more year left on his Arsenal contract after the club exercised an option to extend. Whether he’s able to play during that year, however, remains to be seen. There have been no updates since he was ruled out for the rest of the season.
