Annoyingly, rumours linking Alexis Sanchez to Juventus are refusing to die as Chilean fans of the forward ‘gather’ to protest against him staying at Arsenal.

Alexis is still being linked with a move to Juventus with the Serie A side reportedly readying funds in order to sign him in the summer.

The Chilean’s future at Arsenal is uncertain given the fact that he has just 18 months left on his current deal and everyone involved in the negotiations are understandably keeping tight-lipped on the subject.

Elsewhere, Inter Milan hero, Sandro Mazzola, revealed that he’s ‘crazy’ about the forward, with the 74-year-old claiming that Alexis would be ‘perfect’ for his former side.

“I am crazy about Alexis Sanchez,” Mazzola gushed. “For me, he is perfect for this team because over time he has evolved and now scores several goals a season. Inter need someone like him.”

The media seem to really be pushing this Alexis to Juve angle lately, even though his Chile teammate, Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal, reckons he should stay at Arsenal.

“Alexis is extraordinary, he handles Arsenal, he looks great and he always causes problems,” Vidal said. “I saw him sad in the end, but he should continue this way, he is doing well and I hope he will try to fight the championship in England.”

It’s difficult to say whether this link is genuine or not. Juve have shown interest in Alexis in the past but whether they will have the money Arsenal demand for their star player or not is another matter. What’s more is, Alexis’ agent could be putting word out that his client is ready to move, not necessarily because he is but because this could give them leverage in contract negotiations with Arsenal.

Of course, this is all just speculation. We won’t know until we know.

Although try telling that to about five Alexis fans from Chile, who attempted to organise a protest on Wednesday against him staying at Arsenal.

Five out of 14,000 people who claimed they were going eventually showed up.
