Rumoured Arsenal target, Marco Verratti, could leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer in order to win trophies, says his agent, Donato Di Campli.

Speaking with Gazzetta dello Sport, Di Campli claimed that Verratti, who’s featured 21 times in Ligue 1 this season, doesn’t care about the money, he just wants to win.

“Marco wants to win and PSG, he can not right now,” Di Campli said.

“He has been in Paris for five years and must now decide: does he want to earn a lot without winning anything or lift the trophy and become the champion? The situation is very complicated, especially because his contract is long. This is not a money problem.”

The midfielder is under contract with PSG until 2021 with Arsenal (obviously), Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United all being linked.

The Italy international is statistically having a good season. He’s already scored two goals and assisted six over all competitions – the most he’s scored in one whole season has been two.

Verratti’s only 24 and since Arsenal are reportedly set to have a summer shake-up, the midfielder could be a useful addition to the squad.

It’s good to know that he apparently doesn’t care about the money PSG are giving him, he just wants to win. Although, at the moment, I’m not sure that would bring him to Arsenal either.

During his five years with the Parisian giants, they’ve won the Ligue 1 title four times, the Coupe de France twice, the Coupe de la Ligue three times and Trophée des Champions four times compared to the Gunners’ two FA Cups.
