Jack Wilshere played 66 minutes as Bournemouth lost 2-1 at West Brom.
Bournemouth opened the scoring from the penalty spot after just five minutes but they were 2-1 down by the 21st.
With zero shots and just one key pass, when Jack slid a ball through for Pugh to shoot wide, it was an ineffective performance from the Arsenal man who had just 37 touches throughout. No blocks, tackles, interceptions or clearances highlight that his game was not working at either end of the pitch.
All the blame, however, cannot lay at his feet – Bournemouth are pretty awful these days and Jack was trying to make things happen.
It’s also worth highlighting that Jack picked up an ankle injury in his last game that he has recovered from without missing any matches.
Eddie Howe’s men are now just five points above the relegation zone. Their next game is at Old Trafford before they host West Ham and Swansea.
Speaking after the game, Howe said that he trusts his players to get them out of the slump they currently find themselves in. “One way for us to get out of this run of form is to work smarter, not to change everything that’s good about us,” Howe said.
