Jack Wilshere has said that there is no decision regarding his future and that he will make one in the summer.

With rumours linking him with a permanent move away from the club, speculation is rife about where he will be playing his football next season.

But Jack is not thinking about that. Instead, he just wants to focus on helping Bournemouth stay in the Premier League this season.

“Of course, with social media these days you read all sorts,” he told the Telegraph.

“I’m just concentrating on playing my best for Bournemouth, keeping my form, keeping my fitness.

“At the end of the season when we see what we’ve done here with Bournemouth and I’ve had a couple of weeks off and I’m sat on holiday I’ll have a think about it.”

Come next season, Arsenal should be able to offer Jack a role in the middle of their team.

He was sent out on loan this season because he couldn’t be guaranteed a regular place given his fitness concerns. Nobody could have seen (ha!) Santi Cazorla’s problems and that a massive gap in the middle of the team would open up for Jack. But such is life.

Although Arsenal have exercised their one-year option to extend Cazorla’s stay at the club for another season, contingency plans must surely be being discussed.

We simply cannot afford another season relying on one midfielder who ends up banjaxed.
