Arsene Wenger has revealed that he will use his gut to decide whether or not to hang it up at Arsenal at the end of the season.

Out of contract in the summer, the boss has seemingly still not made up his mind on what he’ll do. This strikes me as rather odd for a man who has built his career over the last decade on doing what is best for the club.

How can making a decision in the summer be good for anyone?

Won’t Arsenal need time to replace a manager who has been at the club for 20 years?

What of our summer transfer plans? Can they go ahead if we don’t know who the manager will be and therefore who he wants? Or who will stay?

Speaking to the press on Friday, Wenger said, “It is not all quantifiable. It is linked with your gut feeling as well.

“My future has always been certain,” he added. “I focus 100 per cent until the last day of my contract. That is the only way you can guarantee the future.”

I love you, Arsene. But no! No. No. No.

Arsenal need a decision. And they need it now. The only thing this guarantees is uncertainty.
