Arsene Wenger has revealed that he doesn’t pay much attention to the fans holding banners urging him to leave Arsenal.

Speaking ahead of the Gunners’ Premier League clash against Hull, Wenger pointed out how it’s not him they need to get behind, it’s the club and allowing one fan with a piece of paper to overshadow that doesn’t help the situation.

As much as I agree that not getting behind the team can be detrimental to our form, it’s hard to rally behind players who don’t look like they want to be there and a manager who won’t change. I will, because I love the club, and I guess in some way that’s what Wenger’s saying. Don’t do it for him or even the men on the pitch, do it for the club.

However, when you watch performances like the 3-1 loss against Chelsea, it’s pretty hard to get excited.

Saying this, there’s a difference between being unhappy with how the team is playing or being managed and actively bringing banners to matches.
