Arsene Wenger was cagey when asked about his future at Arsenal.

The manager’s current contract comes to an end in the summer and he’s yet to make any real statement on what he intends to do next. Is he staying? Leaving? Do we have someone lined up to step in? No one knows and that’s not about to change any time soon it seems.

Speaking ahead of Hull, Wenger was asked again whether a new contract is on the table and the Frenchman sidestepped the question, never giving a definite answer.

“Once again, thank you for caring about my future, but that’s not the most important thing,” he said. “My future is in front of me every time I make a half-turn. What is important for me is that Arsenal Football Club does well, and I dedicate my whole energy to the club doing well.”

From what I can tell, a deal for Wenger to stay at Arsenal has always been on the table, it’s just always been down to whether he wants to stay come the end of the season. This is fine, as I do think he’ll leave when he knows he’s done… hopefully… but what concerns me more is that, if he’s not already made this decision and does choose to leave, who will take over?
