Shkodran Mustafi decided to attempt his best Mathieu Flamini impression during Arsenal’s 5-1 hammering away to Bayern Munich.

The centreback was spotted pointing and shouting at Hector Bellerin during the clash at the Allianz but while doing so, forgot to defend and track Thiago, who then ran past him and scored.

Cue more shouting and flapping from Mustafi, despite him actually being far more at fault for the goal than Bellerin.

Although we want a shouty player who holds his teammates accountable when they slip up, especially in the manner we did against Bayern, he also has to stand up and admit when he’s messed up. There’s no point telling another person how to do their job when they can’t even do their own.

Without Laurent Koscielny next to him, Mustafi hardly covered himself in glory at the Allianz.

His outburst at Bellerin sums up the evening. Frustrating and more than a little embarrassing.
