Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben has been talking about Arsenal ahead of the Champions League clash on Wednesday night and he doesn’t sound too confident.

Although the German giants are still top of the Bundesliga table and grinding out results, they’ve been far from convincing with many stars struggling to adapt to Carlo Ancelotti’s system. However, Robben isn’t one of them – he’s second seven and assisted four league goals in 14 appearances this season.

Speaking ahead of the clash, the winger explained how Bayern face Arsenal during their “week of truth”.

“Our performances haven’t been good enough and we have to do a few things better,” said Robben.

“We have to talk about this in training and make sure we play as a team.

“Arsenal will be ‘the week of truth’ and will be exciting.

“Normally, we are always where we need to be for games like that, but it is a completely different game.

“It’ll be a step up.

“It’s Champions League and the opponents are always better.”

Robben was one of the goalscorers during Bayern’s 2-0 win over FC Ingolstadt 04 on Saturday so I imagine that he must be at least a little quietly confident. He’s scored against Arsenal twice, after all.

However, while Bayern are still the stronger team, their unconvincing wins have proven that they’re human; a fact the Arsenal players will have been made aware of. If we go to the Allianz without fear, we may be able to get something.
