Lucas Perez is once again reportedly ready to leave Arsenal.

The forward only signed for the Gunners from Deportivo last summer for £17m but, according to Goal, he’s already willing to leave in search of more game time.

The 28-year-old has struggled to make the Arsenal first team since joining and although he’s made 17 appearances over all competitions, only five of these have been for the full 90 minutes.

He’s still managed to score six and assist five, however, which has left a lot of Arsenal fans a little confused about his lack of playing time.

The confusion is reportedly shared by Lucas who wants to be noticed in order to have a higher chance of getting picked for the 2018 World Cup.

I’m not sure that Lucas would leave after just one season, especially as his agent has previously claimed he won’t. However, he’s not getting any younger and if a team comes in that can promise him regular starts, I imagine it’d be hard to say no to. The story certainly doesn’t seem to be going away.
