Juventus are reportedly confident that they can put together a package that will entice Alexis Sanchez to Italy and fight off the competition, Paris Saint Germain and Atletico Madrid, although probably not China.

With 18 months left on his existing Arsenal contract, it’s thought that talks between the club and Alexis have stalled because we won’t give him the £250,000-a-week he wants.

Juve, however, are convinced that they can, while the rich Chinese clubs are reportedly ready to offer him £400,000-a-week.

Until now, PSG have been the favourites to land him since they are more likely to afford it. However, Juve have been interested in the Chilean for a while and I’m sure they’ll do whatever they can to get him.

I’m not confident that Alexis will stay in north London and as much as I rate him for obvious reasons, we can’t force him to stay. If he goes, he goes and we rebuild.
