Alex Iwobi has revealed that his lack of aerial threat makes him the brunt of a few jokes amongst the Arsenal lads in training.

The forward, who only broke into the first team last season, is only successful 50% of the time he goes into aerial duels, which is not good at all. Although, if you compare him to Theo Walcott, who’s only successful 37%, he’s not so bad.

However, his lack of ability to head the ball has resulted in Iwobi getting a bit of stick in training.

“It’s always hard talking about your own game, but I’d say I’m creative and I can score goals,” he told Four Four Two. “My weakness is definitely heading. I can’t head the ball at all, and always get stick for it at training. I also have a few tricks in my locker and I like making chances and setting up goals for my team-mates. I’ve played a lot of football this season and I want to start scoring a few more goals now that I’ve got some experience under my belt.”

To be fair, if the 20-year-old’s only issue is that he finds it hard to head the ball, I’m sure he’ll be fine. He’s not a short lad but just perhaps needs to work on his physical strength, since he is young. Once he’s beefed up a bit, I’m sure he’ll be able to out-muscle other players with ease.
