Eddie Howe has revealed that they would love to keep Jack Wilshere after his loan spell finishes at the end of the season but admits there have been no discussions with Arsenal.

Wilshere was speaking recently about his own future, stating that nothing has been decided and he will make a decision in the summer. Arsenal, for their part, want to keep him, and the midfield landscape at the club is different now than it was in the summer. Jack has also shown he can stay fit.

Howe’s interest is no surprise. Wilshere has excelled after being eased into life as a regular starter.

“We’d love Jack Wilshere to stay but there’s been no discussion with Arsenal,” Howe said.

“We are treating it as a loan for this season, as ever.”

Bournemouth face Manchester City on Monday night and will be hoping for a shock result to pull them further away from the relegation zone.
